INVITATION
What's Your Healthy Relationship With Your Body, Even Achy One?
A healthy, strong, flexible, and fit body will undoubtedly complement and support the pursuit of a healthy, strong, flexible, and fit mind. Of course, the vice-versa is also true. This special SBT Dakini Series will explore Dakini movements focusing on Dakini strength training to boost and maintain our mental and physical capacity for adaptability, endurance, resilience, flexibility, agility and clarity. With a sensitivity to the connection between different dimensions of the body and mind, we will integrate into each class a variety of Dakini strength modalities such as meditation on altruism, subtle body trulkor movements, breath work, and restorative postures, as well as dance movements.
The beginnings of the yogic tradition can be traced back over 5,000 years ago in India when ancient yogis and yoginis engaged in physical exercises along with pranayama (breathing the life force) to prepare their bodies for long periods of seated meditation. JOIN Khandro-la and fellow pilgrims for this DAKINI INTEGRATIVE STRENGTH TRAINING to support your own Dharma practice and your life of service to others!
Please prepare to use yogic props (or your alternative) listed below during each class:
Set of Weights 1 kg/2lb (or 2 small water bottles)
Theraband (Registant band)
(Yoga) Blanket
Yoga Blocks if you have
WHAT IS SUBTLE BODY TRAINING?
Subtle Body Training is an integrated, transformative spiritual journey based on advanced Tantric theory that weaves together tantric techniques of subtle body-oriented practices, chanting, meditation, and breathing practices as well as the contemporary discipline of the biomechanics of yoga.
