Lama Tsongkhapa’s Song or Lines of Experience (also known as A Hymn of Spiritual Realization or Lamrim Nyamkurma in Tibetan) is a concise yet profound guide to the stages of the path to enlightenment. This masterpiece encapsulates the Buddha’s teachings, providing a clear roadmap to awakening. It forms the foundation for tantric practitioners, grounding them for advanced practices.
"This life of leisure is even more precious than a wish-granting jewel; That I have found such an existence is only this once;So hard to find, yet like a flash of lightning, it is easy to vanish.
Contemplating this situation, it’s vital to realize that
all mundane pursuits are like the empty grain husks floating in the winds
And that we must extract the essence of human existence.
I, a yogi, have practiced in this manner; You who aspire for liberation do likewise!"
Khandro-la will open Dakini’s Whisper’s auspicious new year with an oral transmission of this celebrated song during the Ganden Ngamchoe celebration in December 2024. She will offer her commentary on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of January and February 2025, illuminating its wisdom through the lens of the Ear-Whispered Lineage and contemporary perspective.
This series offers a powerful call to make the most of our precious human life by renouncing fleeting worldly distractions and cultivating spiritual realizations that lead to lasting happiness.
